Imagine my surprise when I discovered one of the single best images of 30’s fur fashion did not appear to be on Flickr. I’ve looked around for this iconic image of Lucille Ball a few times, but not until this weekend did it appear. At least, I think. Again, as I mentioned last week, some work with tagging on Flickr would be nice, but at this point, who cares. Just enjoy…
Just… wow.
I found a copy of that photograph on 5th of December 2005 and large. I also have four other pictures which are from the same photo-shoot; presumably something to do with Dance Lady Dance?
Guess this means I may need to figure out how to get an email address back with this domain, heh. The connection to Dance, Girl, Dance is something I hadn’t considered. Amusingly that would make this an example of 1940s fur. In this case, a really really “bad” example.

Lucille Ball is brilliant! If they ever do a bio-pic I want so badly to play her. Check out my modeling gig for an I Love Lucy makeover site!
Very nicely done, I think you could definitely get the part. They made 2 already, Lucy & Desi: Before the Laughter and Lucy, and both had some nice furs in them during Lucy’s early film years. Certainly accurate in that respect, at least.
